This talk explains how “material computation” is becoming a natural transition moving from 2D digital technology into 3D “chemistry and computation.” The idea here is that digital computing will embody the physical world: computing that arranges material and information. The integration then of bits and atoms enables a profound new development where “the output of computation programs the physical world.”
