    That’s pretty amazing. I”m confused about what the excavation does to the colony though. Obviously it’s still intact, but how are the ants reacting to having people dig up their city?

    This approach, (rational/analytic), towards things that are far more organic and networked seems to be the only means we have of understanding the world at this point. Do you think we’ll find a means of knowing that doesn’t involve this type of thought, or must rational analysis be passed through in order to get to the good stuff?

    i.e. – Wind, solar, and other renewable technologies are all far more sustainable than fossil fuels, but for the moment we must burn fossil fuels in order to obtain the energy to make, or even just study, these sustainable options.
